There is a Japanese style stone river running through the garden. The architectural details of the low pitched, hipped, stepped roof with broad overhands draws on the Japanese aesthetic. The progression up to the front door through a garden is typical of Japanese homes. This photo shows the house with its grown up gardens and Lake Michigan in the background. Rain chains have been added to enhance the Japanese feel. There is a Japanese style stone river running through the garden. The architectural details of the low pitched, hipped, stepped roof with broad overhands draws on the Japanese aesthetic. The progression up to the front door through a garden is typical of Japanese homes.
